Invercargill, August s.— The applications received since the land was thrown open on Wednesday last were considered by the Waste Land Board on Monday and Tuesday. 44,349 acres were granted, at LI per acre, and 991 at L2. About 20,000 acres submitted at auction to-day realized L 27,531 4s.
