Notice is hereby given that the folJowing Candidates have been this day Nominated for the offices of Councillors and Auditors : As Couneillors for South Ward : Henry Smith Fish, jun , of Princes street Henry John Walter, of Stafford street. As Councillors for High Ward : Alexander Burt, of Princes street Barnard Isaac, of Princes street Andrew Mercer, of High street. As Couneillors for Bell Ward : Wihiam Asher, of York place John Carroll, of George-sbreet Richard Henry Leary, of London street William Woodland, of Filleul street. As Councillors for Leith Ward : Thomas Birch, of Great King street Peter Gibson, of Great King street John Grant, of Forth street James Wilson, of Great King street As Auditors for the City : Frederick Horatio Evans, of Princes street Sydney James, of Princes street James Birbeck M‘Cullocb, of Princes street. There being no opposition in South Ward, Henry Smith Fish, jun., and Henry John Walter Were declared duly elected Councillors for that Ward. There being more than two candidates for High, Bell, and Leith Wards, and more than two candidates for election to the offices of City Auditors, all further proceedings in the elections were adjourned until Saturday, August 1, 1874, when a Poll will betaken, between the hours ot 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will also be polling in each of the Four Wards for the election of auditors. Ihe POLLING PLACES will be : South Ward—The old Immigration Buildings, Princes street south High Ward—Tne Fire Brigade Station, corner of High and Rattray streets Bell Ward—The Oddfellows’ Hall, George street Leith Ward—The Grand-stand of the Caledonian Society, St. David street. Nominations, in form of Schedule D of the Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, •865, may be lodged at the Town Clerk’s office, Manse street (where blank forms may be obtained), on or before noon of the day herein fixed for the declaration.
