NOTICE is hereby given, that certain Regulations, entitled the City of Dunedin .Building Regulations, to be applicable to the City of Dunedin, under the authority of Subdivision 1 of Part 5 of Schedule 13 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867 (as adopted by Bye-law 6 of the Council of the said City, made on the 23rd day of February, 1870), were made and passed by the said Council on Wednesday, the 22nd day of July, 1874. Also, that the Regulations, as passed, are deposited for the inspection (at all reasonable times) of any person interested therein, at the office of the said Council, in Manse street, Dunedin, aforesaid. Election of a Councillor for High Ward in room of Councillor Ramsay, resigned (elected Mayor). Public Notice is hereby given that the Nomination of Candidates for election to the office of Councillor for High Ward, in room of Councillor Keith Ramsay, resigned (elected Mayor), will be declared on Friday, 31st July, 1874, at the Terrace of the Provincial Council Chambers, Water street, at the hour of twelve o’clock noon. Nominations, iu form of Schedule D of the Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 5855, may be lodged at the Town Clerk’s office, Manse street (where blank forms may be obtained), on or before noon of the day herein fixed for the declaration. There being no opposition in South Ward, Henry Smith Fish, jun., and Henry John Walter Were declared duly elected Councillors for that Ward. There being more than two candidates for High, Bell, and Leith Wards, and more than two candidates for election to the offices of City Auditors, all further proceedings in the elections were adjourned until Saturday, August 1, 1874, when a Poll will betaken, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will also be polling in each of the Pour Wards for the election of auditors, ihe POLLING PLACES will be : South Ward—The old Immigration Buildings, Princes street south High Ward—The Fire Brigade Station, comer of High and Rattray streets Bell Ward—The Oddfellows’ Hall, George street Leith Ward—The Grand-stand of the Caledonian Society, St. David street.
