PORT CHALMERS.

The nomination of candidates for the representation of the different wards in Port Chalmers took place in the Town Hall at noon to day. His Worship the Mayor occupied the caair, when the following nomination* were read by the Town Clerk

HIGH WARD. George Dodson, proposed byA. M’Gregok, seconded by J. Forsaith. Joan Miller, proposed by W. Kettle, seconded by J, W. Scott.

East ward, J. L Asher, proposed by C. Clark, seconded by J. Forsaith.

south ward. David Miller, proposed by G. Warren, seconded by A. MMCexzie.

MIDDLE WARD. John Middltdiich, proposed by E. Wignall, seconded by Thos. Brebneb. auditors. Alex. Leek and John Thomson, proposed by W. Kettle, seconded by J. B. Taylor.
