terday. The schooner Pioneer arrived yesterday from Shag point. The barque Glencoe was towed to Dunedin at high water yesterday. The s.B. Wanganui sailed last night for her usual trip to the Bluff. The p.s, Samson arrived last night from Oamaru, and passed up to Dunedin. Tim ship Hindostan was removed to the railway pier yesterday to discharge her cargo. The s.s. Lady of the Lake sailed this morn-

ing folf the Taieri, with a cargo of sleepers. The s.s. Jane towed down from Dunedin last night the schooner Circe, and she sailed this morning for Hokitika, with a fine S. W, wind. Yesterday afternoon a ship was signalled at the Heads, which proved to be the Sussex, with a large number of immigrants on board. When the tug Geelong was outside to tow in the schooner Marion last evening, she was about ten miles off the Heads. The Geelong will probably go down and tow her up this evening. The three-masted schooner reported at the Heads was towed up last evening by the tug Geelong, and anchored off the railway pier. She proved to he the Marion, with a general cargo from New York, after a passage of 115 days. She left New York on the 21st of March with a westerly wind, which continued until she caught the N.E. trades in latitude 29 N., which were good ; they were carried as far as 2 N. on the 18th, when she had doldrums, but crossed the equator on the next day. The S.E. trades were caught on the 20th, in 1 9 S. which were very light, and were lost in lattitude 26 S,; tken, S. W, winds. The mendian of Greenwich was passed on the 21st, in lattitude 37 41 S., and that of the Cape of Good Hope on the 26th. After reaching longitude 121 E., had N.N.W. and S.S.W. winds until the 27th June. On the 14th June she was hove, .to for twenty-four hours during a N.N.E. gale. Her easting was run down on a general parallel of 47 S.; variable winds were experienced until making the Snares at 2 a.ra. on the 12th, with a fine S.W. wind; passed the Nuggets at 11 the same night, when the wind shifted to the S.E. with thick weather, which lasted for twenty-four hours; the wind' then came round to the southward, and arrived off the Heads on Tuesday afternoon, when she came to anchor, until being towed up as above.
