The French transatlantic steamer Amerique was found derelict in the Channel, and was tewed into Plymouth by two vessels. Cn examination she was fqpnd only slightly u *3 ur ®d* The crew and passengers had abandoned her in a panic, during a storm. She has returned to Havre. L 15.000 has been 'claimed for the services rendered by the two vessels. *
