Mr Vogel laid on the table the Ward-Chap-man correspondence. He said the telegrams as received were hot as despatched, but the inaccuracies were very slight. MrJ, L. Gillies moved for the appointment of a Select Committre to inquire into Judge Ward’s telegrams and their publication by the ‘ Daily Times’, said committee to consist of Messrs O Rorke, Fox, bichardson, Atkinson, Sheeban Brandon, T. B. Gillies, Stiidholme. wales, and mover.
