The amount of revenue received at the Cus t-ur-house oi. fc,oods cleared for consumption was this day L 1,350 10s. The railway returns for the goods and passenger traffic during the month ending 30th June last on the Invercargill, Bluff, and Woodlands lines collectively are as follows :—Number of passengers, 2,955; cash received for same, L 474. The passenger traffic for the corresponding month of last year showed 1,377, and the cash received amounted to L 248 11s 6d, being an increase of nearly 100 per cent. The tonnage for last month amounted to 4,184 tons, and the cash received on account of same to L 1,087 14s 3d. For the corresponding month of last year the tonnage amounted to 1688, and the cash received on account of same to L 432 18s 3d. The quantity of wool and grain forwarded by rail from Winton to Invercargill during the season ending on the 6th inst., was— Wool, 7,738 bales. Grain : —Wheat, 25,606 bushels ; oats, 4,245 bushels ; and barley, 2,070 bushels. All the grain belonged to the harvest of the present year, as did also the wool to the last clip. —‘ Southland Times. ’
