The brig Thomas and Henry, for Auckland, M ready for sea. The B.S. Lady of the Lake, after taking on board a cargo of railway sleepers, sailed last night.
The p.s. Comerang, after discharging her wool on board the William Davie, steamed alongside the new jetty to load sleepers for Oamaru.
The steamers Taranaki, for Northern Ports, and Beautiful tetar, for Lyttelton and intermediate ports, sail to-morrow. The schooner Dunedin, having discharged part of her cargo at the old jetty, got under way this morning for Dunedin. The ship Janet Court, having finished ballasting, was, removed from her berth at the railway pier, and will shortly sail for Newcastle.
The barque Roslyn Castle will be removed frem the lower anchorage alongside the railway pier, where she will discharge her cargo from London.
The fine ship James Nicol Fleming was unmoored and taken in tow by the tug Geelong shortly after eight this morning. She proceeds to Melbourne, there to load for Calcutta.
The ship William Davie having received on board the whole of her cargo from this port and cleared the Customs, will soon sail for the Bluff, where she will finish her loading for London.
The barque Francis, for Newcastle, was towed down yesterday by the Geelong, but on account of the heavy sea on the bar, she came to an anchor inside the Heads, and proceeded on her voyage this morning. The easterly weather which has so long prevailed has at last changed to the southward. We may now expect some of the Homo ships to be signalled at the Heads at any moment — the Caroline, now 107 days; Hindostan, 105 daysDevana, ninety-one days ; and the Sussex, eighty-six days from London; the Cartsbarn, ninety seven days from Glasgow. The coasters Jane and Pioneer, which had been lying for nearly a week in Carey Bay for a shift of wind, got underway, and sailed for Shag Point this morning. Towards noon the wind freshened a little, and the barque Australian Sovereign, for Newcastle, got under way, followed by the brig Rio Loge, for Lyttelton, and the barque William Gifford, for Auckland. The ketch Huon Belle also sailed for the Taieri.
