The amount of revenue received at the Ous-tm-house or. ..cods cleared for consumption was this day L 952 8s 4d. Gold duty, L 7 7s. M'Landreas, Hepburn, and Co. to-day sold to Mr G. W. Elliott, sections 95 and 96, Port Chalmers, at present in the occupation of Messrs Jackson Bros, for L 720. They also sold a number of town sections fronting Dowling street. Lot 4, with a frontage of 35ft by a depth of 165 ft, realised L 215 ; lot 5, similar frontage and depth, with' dwelling-house, L 223 15s; lot 6, similar frontage and depth, with dwelling-house, L 231 ss; lot 7, with a frontage of 50ft by a depth of 165 ft, with five dwellinghouses, L 425. The upset price was realised in each ease.
