Otago, for Northern Ports, July 18. Samson, for Oamaru, July 7. W anganui, for Bluff, July 8. 1 Wellington, for Northern Ports, July 7. The railway pier begins to look quite deserted, their being only one full rigged ship, the Janet Court, alongside. The American barque Francis, lying in the stream, displayed the whole of her bunting on Saturday, in honor of the 4th of July. The American barque Mariano, with a full cargo of railway sleepers, was signalled at the Heads on Saturday morning. There being a fine breeze from the N. 8., she sailed up under the charge of Pilot Kelly, and came to anchor off the railway pier. The brig Rio Loge was unmoored this morning, and towed to the head of the floating dock by the p.s. Golden Age, and will be taken in this afternoon for the purpose of being cleaned *nd_ her bottom coated with anti-fouling competition. After coming out of dock she will proceed to Lyttelton with part of original cargo. The schooner Janet Ramsay arrived from Havelock on Saturday morning. Captain Blaney reports leaving on the 14th of June, had strong B.W. and S.S.E, winds, which increased to a gale, and put into Akaroa for shelter, in company with the schooner Strathnaver, far Oamaru, and left again on the Ist; there being a nice breeze from the N.E., she continued her course to Dunedin, She brings a full cargo of timber for Guthrie and Lamach,
# The fore-and-aft schooner Mary Melville arrived this morning, with a cargo of 1,900 cases •of kerosene, from Auckland, and there being a fine breeze from theN.E. she continued her course ♦o Dunedin. Captain XJrquhart reports leaving Auckland on the 19th of June, with S.W. and S.E. winds to the_Strait s ; made the East Cape to the 23rd, the wind then being from the N. W., which shifted to the southward and increased to a gale ; ram into Port Underwood for shelter on-the 27th; left again with a N.W., wind on the 30th, which lasted for twelve hours; the wind then came from the southward, and increased, run for Lyttelton, and anchored at the Heads on the 2nd; left again on the 3rd with a light N.E. wind, which continued until arrival.
