The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on £,oods cleared for consumption

was this day L 1,259 16s 2d. Gold duty, L 668 Os 7d. Messrs M'Landress, Hepburn, and Co. to-day sold the land on which Messrs Goldstein and Moeller’s shop, in Rattray street, stands to that firm for L4OO. The vacant site at Caversham, adjoining the Crown Hotel, was sold for LBl. The other properties were withdrawn. [By Telegraph.] Melbourne, June 20.—Import markets dull, A telegram from Colombo reports that coffee is advancing, and also in the English market. A telegram from China reports that the Foo-Oho* market opened three taels higher. Two steamers are loading for the Colonies. An inquiry sprang up here for teas, and large sales were made. Oats are in good request. New Zealand milling, 5s 8d ; feeding, 5s 4d. New Zealand malting'barley, 6s 6d to 6s 9d. Owing to recent telegrams, currants advanced, holders refusing to quote. Sugars are in mocleraate request. Kerosene is a trifle firmer. Wheat, firm at 6s 5d for prime samples. Liquids are dull. A parcel of New Zealand flax sold for Ll9. New Zealand four per cents, in the market at LBB. The failure of Pickersgill and Co., wine and spirit merchants, is announced, with liabilities of L 5,900. Several other failures are reported. London, June 16. —The wool sales conclude on Tuesday. An increasing firmness was shown towards the close of. the series. Port Philip has improved to March prices; Adelaide and New Zealand greasy share in the recovery, but Sydney washed fleece is neglected. Foreign arrivals were not so large as to depress the corn market. Fine qualities of Adelaide wheat fetch 64s to 65s per 4961b5. New Zealand hemp sold at LlB to Ll9. A cablegram dated the 18th says the Bank rate of discount is reduced to 2$ per cent.
