New Zealand four per cents, in the market at LBB. The failure of Pickersgill and Co., wine and spirit merchants, is announced, with liabilities of L 5,900. Several other failures are reported. London, June 16. —The wool sales conclude on Tuesday. An increasing firmness was shown towards the close of. the series. Port Philip has improved to March prices; Adelaide and New Zealand greasy share in the recovery, but Sydney washed fleece is neglected. Foreign arrivals were not so large as to depress the corn market. Fine qualities of Adelaide wheat fetch 64s to 65s per 4961b5. New Zealand hemp sold at LlB to Ll9. A cablegram dated the 18th says the Bank rate of discount is reduced to 2$ per cent.
