Thursday, Junk 25. (Before Drs Drydale and O’Donoghyie, J.Ps.) Obscene Language.— Edwin Harris was charged, on the information of Constable Carter, with making use of obscene language on the railway platform on Sunday last. \ fine of 20s was inflicted, or, in default, fortyeight hours’ imprisopmgpt. Language.- -A, Motherwell was charged, on the information of Mr H. Dench of Dench’s Hotel, with having used insulting language towards his wife, in the hotel. It appeared from the evidence of Mr Dench that Motherwell had come into his house* and he, together .with Mrs Motherwell, had something to eafc, but was, while at table, very abusive to the waiters. Afterwards he came to Mrs Dench and asked ihe price, and on being told became very abusive.—He was fined 40s, or, in default, seven days’ imnrisonmeut. e
