The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on feoods cleared for consumption was this day LBB9 15a 2d. Messrs M'Landress, Hepburn, and Co. today sold the schooner Kate Brain to Messrs Anderson and Mowatt, for L 2,530. • A. Mercer reports for the week ending V" ne 19 Retail prices only ; Fresh butter in |lb and 11b prints, Is 9d per lb; second quality Is 7d to Is 8d per lb; fresh butter, in lumps’ Is 6d per lb; salt butter. Is 6d per lb; in salt butter, in kegs, there is nothing doing, Fresh butter is much scarcer this week and the grocers are barely getting enough to supply their trade, and another advance in the price is looked for. Cheese, best quality, lOd to Is per lb; second quality quite unsaleable. Side and rolled bacon, lid to Is per lb. Colonial hams, Is Id to Is 2d per lb and more plentiful. For English hams the demand is very plentiful and selling at Is 6d per lb. English cheese is completely out of the market Eggs are getting very plentiful, and every dav falling in price, and may be quoted at present at 2s to 2s 3d per dozen.
