M‘LANDRE*S, HEPBURN, & CO. are instructed to sell by auction, at their Rooms, Manse street, on Friday 19th June, at 2 o’clock, ’ The Schooner Kate Brain. The Kate Brain is 118 tons register. She carries 200 tons measurement goods—2,ooo bags of grain or 120,000 feet of timber, she is fully and completely found in everything except one anchor and chain. She was built at Auckland of kauri timber, and having taken three years to build, the timber is thoroughly seasoned. Having had a new keel, and thorough overhaul by Messrs Murray and Co,, of Port Chalmers, the Kate Brain is reported to be as good as ever. The Kate Brain is at present in dock, and can be inspected, after Monday, at the Rattray street Jetty. Perms—Ll,ooo cash ; the balance may remain secured in the usual way.
