She carries 200 tons measurement goods—2,ooo bags of grain or 120,000 feet of timber, she is fully and completely found in everything except one anchor and chain. She was built at Auckland of kauri timber, and having taken three years to build, the timber is thoroughly seasoned. Having had a new keel, and thorough overhaul by Messrs Murray and Co,, of Port Chalmers, the Kate Brain is reported to be as good as ever.
