The hall was tilled to suffocation in eveiy part, and the audience, judging from the frequency of their applause and laughter, seemed to appreciate the entertainment, in the mesmeric portion of his- entertainment, Dr Carr evinced an extraordinary influence over those affected by it, and the audience rewarded his undoubted success with vociferous applause. —Lyttelton ‘Times. * December 27. Dr • arr’s Seances.— The Phreno Mesmeno Seances of Dr Carr appear to be increasing in popularity, judging from the large and fashionable audience which last evening filled the Odd Fellows’ Hall, when the twelfth Stance was given. The Phrenological delineations of character (some of which were from the heads of well-known citizens), elicited the loud applause of the audience, who evidently appreciated their truthfulness. The Mesmeric experiments were equally successful, many of them bordering on the marvellous, and indicating the high degree of power possessed by the Mesk*B BU^e °k—‘Press,’ January DANCING CLASSES.
