PUBLIC NOTICES. PROSPECTUS OF THE Dunedin land, building, and INVESTMENT COMPANY. LIMITED. Capital represented by 10,000 Shares of L 5 each. Five shillings per Share to be paid on application, 10s on allotment, and the balance in calls of 6s per Share at one month’s notice. Only one-half of the Shares (5,000) will be issued at present. The Comply purpose purchasing eligible sites in the jity and suburbs, and erecting thereon substantial buildings suitable for all classes. The houses when finished will be open for purchase by shareholders on deferred payment or otherwise as may be agreed upon. When purchased ondeferred payment, the cost of freehold and u will be treated as a loan to the purchaser, to be repaid in a certain number of years by weekly or monthly payments, which will not materially, if at all, exceed the usual rent charged at the present time for a similar class of house. To secure the co-operation of those who will most largely take advantage of the benefits to be derived from purchasing houses from the t/ompany, shares will be issued on the Building societies’ plan, to be paid up in full to the ultimate value of LlO per share by monthly subscriptions. These shares will not affect the issue, or in any way interfere with the L 5 shares forming the permanent capital of the Company, though they will participate in the profits, and can remain, if desired, as a permanent investment; or should the holder become a purchaser of one of the Company’s houses, the amount paid up may be used by way of deposit on the purchase. , I T l ? e . lnteri, . n Secretary will be glad to supply full information to intending shareholders. THE CITY COUNCIL is desirous to make arrangements with some person holding Land along the Line of the Clutha Railway, to receive statedly, and for a term of years, the Manure, Rubbish, and Nightsoil of the City, the intention being to make arrangements for the removal of the present Manure Depot from Anderson’s Bay Road, and to have all the rubbish taken from the City daily by railway. Letters of proposal from persons prepared to treat may be lodged at the Town Clerk’s Office, Manse street, Dunedin, on or before Wednesday, 10th June, at 4 p.m. J. M.
