■Wellington, May 18. In the Court of Appeal to-day, in the cases of Stoodley v. Stoodley and Palmer v. Palmer, the decrees for dissolutions of marriage were made absolute. May 19. At the Police Court to-day, Macfarlane called, Mr Beckham, R.M., on the Bench, Mr Rees, Harris’s counsel, objected to on the ground that Macfarlane was closeted with Mr Beckham subsequent to laying the information. He (Mr Rees) said he had reported the whole circumstances to the Government, and was content to abide the result.
