The usual weekly meeting of the Board was held to-day ; present, the Chief Commissioner, Messrs Bastings, Bntterworth, Clarke, and Strode.

Mr Stephen Tail’s application to purchase sections 6, block I, and 1, block 2, Woodlands, was declared r- ceived. Mr H, Gunn applied to purchase nine acres of open land in the bush reserve, block 1, vVarepa, adjo ning section. lof 3, held by him. Refused. ' Mr G. t look, for Sir P. D. Bell, asked the decision as to whether he could exercise his pre-emptive right for runs 80 and 109, within the block in Shag Valley recently added to the goldfield.
