Wellington, April 22. Mr Travers did not move yesterday in Banco for a dissolution of the injunction against the Provincial Government. He demurred to the information on which the injunction was founded on several grounds, one being the locus standi of the Attorney-General, whose action in the matter is contended to have been ultra vires. A demurrer will be argued before the Court of Appeal in May.
Auckland, April 23. Tho Star of the South has arrived from Fiji. Her news is unimportant. Mr Benson, a planter, was drowned while returning from the Star of the South in a boat.
April 23. The Governor and party arrived at Cambridge last evening, and have gone to the Taotora block.

All the new applications for publicans’ licenses were refused, and several publicans cautioned. Mr Chadwick sold Mr Brown’s stud yesterday. Lochinvar fetched LIBO ; Policy, LBO ; Hatcatcher, L3O.
