THE SHOTOVER COMPANY.

Mr Grant, Legal Manager of the Shotover Terrace Gold Mining Company, has supplied us with the following information ; The Directors, after a personal visit and thorough examination of works at the claim, undertaken and now nearly completed by Mr Evans, are informed by him that after the 25th inst ho will be prepared with a permanent and abundant supply of water for washing at least 2,000 trucks per week. They have every reason to be satisfied with the manner in which Mr JEvans has planned and carried out his improvements for effectually and profitably working the claim. With the trifling supply of water available, 44 ozs of gold were secured on thellth inst.! and 26 ozs on the 18th inst.
