The amount of revenue received ' t the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for .consumption this day, was L 2.482 6s lOd. Mr Milner sold by auction yesterday, in the Provincial Council Chambers, the following sections situated near Saddle Hill, and being fart of Block YIIL, Dunedin and East Taieri hscrict:—Sections 1 of 9, containing 12a lr 23p, at L2l2s per acre ; section 2of 9, contain- / ing 11a 3r 14p, at L2 8s per acre; section 3of 9, containing 8a Or 17p, at L2 19s per acre; section 1 of 9, containing 9a Or 18p, at L 3 9s per acre. The stock market is improving. _ The apprehended dearness of money is subsiding. The March trade returns show a continued reduction of exports. The com market has a strong upward tendency. Adelaide wheat is at 66s to 675; flour, 46s to 48s per 2801b. New Zealand hemp steady; stock, 2,321 tons. Atrato re-sailed for Dunedin, from Plymouth, April 5. Melbourne, April 14.—Breadstuffs continue firm. Wheat, 6s 6Jd; oats very firm up to 5s Bd, prime samples. Large sales of currants, price now sd. Candles in good request; sugars Belling freely at full rates. Tennent’s ale in demand; large parcels quitted. No business in brandies; quotations.unaltered. Bank of New Zealand snares wanted, Ll7 10s.
