CRICKET CLUB SPORTS.

The sports got up by the Dunedin Cricket Club came off on the Northern Recreation Ground this afternoon, and were fairly attended. The following were the results up to four o’clock i— . Throwing Cricket Ball. Clubs only. 1 ropby. P. Muir, 107 yards I foot ] J. Cluxton, 105 yards 4 inches 2 Pight entered, but only five put in an ap pearance. Cluxton, who is very slightly built compared with Muir, threw splendidly, but Mmr beat him in his last throw. 100 Yards Flat Race. Club only. Cup presented by. the Mayor. F. Smith ... -i D. R. Rhodes ... ... ' o J. Allen ” ’’’ g A good rAce. SmithJ and Rhodes rushed off with the lead, the former keeping well ahead throughout; Allen a close third. Eight entered, but only six started. One Mile Walking Pace. Clubs only. Cup presented by the Mayor. Macandrew j Mackenzie q Only two entered. Mackenzie started ofi with the lead and, kept it till the last quarter of a mile, when Macandrew j assed him and won by five yards. Time 9 min, 1 4fi sec.

Quarter-mile Flat Race. Chiba only. Cup presented by Mr F. J. Muir. F. Smith K. Smith ’ g J. Allen ][ [ t "” 3 Only three started, though four entered. F. Smith went off at the start, making the pace a cracker, and was never headed, K. Mnith passing Allen fifty yards from the post. Time, I minute.-
