The amount of revenue received at the One-corn-house on goods cleared for consumption this day, was L 2,570 Is 4d. (By Telegraph.) London, March 20.—The wool sales closed last night; 164,034 bales were catalogued, of which 76,000 were disposed of. A contingent of Home buyers bought reluctantly to keep the machinery mills going. Prices closed easier. 240,000 bales remain for the next sales. Money tightening ; market rate three and a half per cent. Stock markets depressed. There is apprehension that money will bo dearer. Wheat drooping, owing to large expected arrivals; Adelaide 67s t» 68s. A million quarters are en mute from California. March 21. —Hemp steady, and advanced. Melbourne, March 24.—Oats continue very firm and scarce ; sales are made at 5s 5.Jd to 5s 7£d. Breadstuffb unchanged. There is a good inquiry for wheat at 6s 6d for fine. Large sales of brandies have taken place; Hennessy’s case at 28s 9d. A private London telegram reports a further rise in brandies. Sugars are in good demand, and large operations are pending. The latest Mauritius dates state that the Hopeful has been chartered for Dunedin, and the Kinchalds for Christchurch, at 40s, Speculative sales of candles continue, and several thousand boxes have been sold.
