Mr Mansford appeared for the prosecution —The defendants asked that the case might be remanded, to enable them to obtain a solicitor, which was done, the case being adjourned till Thursday.-Joseph Mash, Henry Templeton, and August Crega were then charged with a similar offence, and remanded till Thursday. , v , .. f .. , Disobeying Commands.— Waltham Nick* oils was charged by Captain Skinner, of the ship Warwick, with continual disobedience of lawful commands, and pleaded guilty. Captain Skinner stated that the defendant had been in gaol for four weeks for the same offence; he was taken on board' yesterday when he refused to do any more work 6tt board the ship. In answer to the Benbh, the defendant stated as his reason that the officers and he could not agree, and on going on board yesterday Captain Skinner ironed him to the stanchion without any cause whatever. The Bench sentenced him to four weeks’ hard labor. Slaughtering Licenbb. —George Hitch-, cock applied for a slaughtering license, and there being no opposition, it was granted.
