POSTAL DELIVERY.
To the JSditor. ~1 • Sir,—l understand there are two postal, deliveries daily in Dunedin, dub At 8 a. to* amlfhe other,at 2 p.m. Now, it strikes'fa# that the latter can be generally of very little' use, being only available for letters posted in town. All our country mails, bdth nfo&hf and'south, arrive in town at’a later honf, and letters coming by them have to lie in’the'< Post Office till next morning.- Bub as they-, as a rule,, atriye by 5 p.m,, were th» ' second delivery delayed till 6 br s.3u'thenalr letters coming, by. them feould ..be sdeliyeredthe same . night, and, when necessary, litf* swered by next morning’s mail,-whereby'a ; whole day’s delay, would be avoided.. I thmk the matter f Worthy 6f considefaticm/ and real! attenfiiod to it so( that if ’deemed advisable, those mt-rdsted&dy take steps to"' haye it carried, out.— I,am, Ac.,. ■-r , ; : -h v«,' • \‘bq,moii Jf : Dunedin, March 28.
