Buchanan (Otago) 26 Wilson (Port Chalmers) ... 26 Somerville (Wanganui) 26 Renouf (Napier) ’ 26 Payne (Auckland) 26 J. Buchanan (Otago) *. 24 In firing off the ties, D. Buchanan made three bull’s-eyes, Wilson two and a centre, Payne an outer, Renouf and Somerville a bull’s-eye and centre. There were eightyfive entries for 6 this match, which lasted all the morning. Two of the top scores were made by Renouf and Somerville with medium Enfields, the other prize-takers using small bore rifles. Second All Comers’ Match.—Range, 500 and 600 yards. Seven shots at each range. Bona fide large-bore rifles or carbines to receive two points at 500 yards, and three points at 600 yards, if brought into com petition with small-bore rifles or carbines. Entrance fee, 6s. First prize, L 8 and onehalf entrance fees ; second, L 5 and onefourth entrance fees; third prize, L 3 and one-fourth entrance fees ; fourth prize, L2 ; fifth, sixth, and seventh, Ll. Fenton (Thames) 51 Wilson (Port Chalmers) , 50 Armstrong (Thames) ... ... 49 J. Buchanan (Otago) 43 ' M'Kenzie (Otago) ... 4.7 Keys (A.C.) .. 47 D. Buchanan (Otago)... ... 45 Creagh, Perrin, Grundy, and Payne all ties, with 45 points each for the- lait three prices, 'they will fire off in the morning, as it was too late when the match finished.
