A match that has been long pending between the ; Guards and the Portobello Rangers came’off yesterday, at the Wakari range; Twelve months ago—last St. Andrew’s Day—the Guards tried their skill at the Portobello range, and were defeated by 10 points; ' Yesterday, at the Wakari. range, the Rangers were defeated by 35 points' Excepting an occasional glare of the sun. which by mid-nay shone almost full .in,front, the day was favorable to good shooting. The return match is expected to come off od Good Friday. Ihe following are the scores of the respective teams:—: ?. :
