pat their names upon the roll, some of them even going ap far .as to show their readers the injustice done to the country through the influence which, the Dunedin electors have hitherto brought to bear mton an election. One up country journal not long ago sent a copy of the registration form to every one of its sub<c ibers along with the copy of the paper, in order that those of its readers who had not made application might' have an op* partunity put in their way of doing so. In some of the country townships there are to be found in public places copies of the roll,' with those marked upon it. who will be objected' (o this year in consequence of place °f abode, ■c, so that it might bo brought prominently before them. gain, those'who take any interest in the Otago land question, which is now beginning to come prominently , before the public;, should at once qnali y themselves, in order that they may have a voicedn the matter when an election for a member of either the Council or the Assembly comes round, am, &c., ■ " C.
