PINE HILL ROAD.
To the Editor. SIR»—It is now five months since the Government let a contract for the Pine Hill road, and the work was to have been done in three months, the quantity of stone to be laid being 2,200 yards. I would like to know who is responsible for only 200 yards hieing laid on the first mile above the toll. I pay road rates and expect that a fair share of hietal will be laid at my end of the road as well as at the other end. I hope the government will see to it before passing the work.—l am, &0., G T Dunedin, March 17.
