THE NEW ERA !! I OUR GUINEA TWEED TROUSERS. WHEN I introduced my Guinea Trousers I was very confident they would prove a great success, but the demand for them has far exceeded my most sanguine expectations. It is certainly very remarkable to get a pair of Bliss’s Tweed Trousers for 21s, considering the high price of wool at present. Indeed, had I not been fortunate enough to purchase a large parcel of Tweeds at much - below the regular value I could not afford to supply such a x>alr of Tweed Trousers at the price. It has always been my aim to make it mutually advantageous for gentlemen t® do business with me, and I have no hesitation in saying that I have never been in a position to give my customers better value than 'at the present moment After careful calculations I find thatit pays me better to supply a gentlemanly pair of Tweed Trousers for a Guinea than to charge 32s 6d and 35s per pair, as some do, for Trousers not a whit better. The profit on one pair is, no doubt, very trifling; but the demand being so great the aggregate profit is mow than if I were to conduct my business in the old-fashioned style of charging a Long Price and giving Long Credit. Cash down when measured or on delivery is the only way that enables me to supply such a good Trouser for One Guinea, and it is but right to state that this part of the system has been cheerfully acceded to by my patrons.
