EARLY CLOSING.
To the Editor, Sib. —l am not a man of letters, and my talents are but o dinary. lam better fitted to handle the spade and wheelbarrow than the mighty pen; but I cannot allow the paragraph in your issue of last night to go unchallenged—“ The working-men of Dun. edin whp are paid by the hour will shop whenthey like.'! '. S They do shop when they like, and that is never on Saturday afternoon, do it when they may. We have left long hours and tyranny jn the regions behind us, and being free ourselves, we would have others to be so. Tradesmen of Dunedin, it is not the working-man who oppresses you, be it who it may. Trusting that you will kindly insert the above, although I can only express myself bluntly and auS no Writer, - you wfll oblige.—l am, &0., ■ _ A Working-man^ Dunedin, March 6.
