' The amount of revenue received at the Ous iojft-house on goods cleared for corisuittptioa thiri day, was L 594 10s 4d. ‘ From a return, published in a Provincial ‘ Gazette, ’ dated February 24, giving the value of the traffic on the Canterbury railways, we dearn that the full returns for the month of January last were L 8,122 10s Bd, as against ;L4,678. Is 5d for the corresponding period of 1873. Of these amounts the passenger returns in January, 1874, were L 2,306, 6s, sd, as against L 2,007 12s for the corresponding mbrith of ,1873; season tickets, January, 1874, LBl Gs 3d ; db; 1873, L 75 14s’ 9d ; freight; JanuaVy, 1874, L 4.886 12s lOd; do. 1873, L2,06316s Id ; par: cela, wharfage, storage, labor, &c, January. 1874, 1,849’5s 2d; do,. 1873, L 532 2s 7d. The ■ChnStohurch and Lyttelton line shows a decrease of L 76 8s for January lost; all the others an increase.;
