She left at 10 a.m. on the 20th Feb.; had light easterly winds for the first two days; passed between Tasmania and King Island on the 2 nd, with fresh north and ■ northeasterly winds, and cleared the laud on the 24th; took her departure on the same day from theS.W, Cape; encountered strong southerly winds and squalls until the 27th, then N.W. gales till the Solanders were made, at daylight on March 1; passed Dog Island at 9 p.m. same day, and the Nuggets at 4 a.m, on the 2nd, and made the Heads at daylight yesterday morning. Ihe iron-work done in Melbourne proved to be very defective, and some of it carried away; and the ship was so crippled as to be unable to make a good passage.
