THE City Council being desirous to make arrangements for the Removal of the Manure Depot from the Anderson’s Bay road site, is open to receive offers from owners of land outside the City who may be prepared to enter into an agreement for the deposit of manure and city rubbish upon their lands for a term of years. The land required for the purpose would be, say four or five acres. The contractor would be allowed to retain to his own use the whole of the depot fees as presently authorised by the Council, as [ under:— For burying each horse or other large animal - - .£0 5 0 I For burying each sheep or other small animal -. - -016 For burying each load of manure or other rubbish - . - 0 1 0 The contractor at all times to make proper provision for the reception of all night soil, manure, or rubbish ; to provide all necessary labor; and to be alone responsible in the event of the land thus used Decoming a nuisance. Tenderers to state the terms upon which they would be prepared to provide the land for the depot; or, on the other hand, what sum per annum they would be prepared to pay half-yearly in advance for the privileges of the depot.
