[By Telegraph.] The tide of fortune has turned in favor of the English Cricketers, who now have victory on their side after every match It is true their oppoents were mostly local players at Sandhurst and Castlemaine. The match just now concludingoa the Melbourne ground against a scratch team of fifteen players will give another victory to the eleven. The fifteen in their first innings, only scored 110, whilst the eleven made 188 amongst the scoreau being—W. G Grace (second innings) and-G, P. Grace 40, Lilly white 40, Humphrey 29. Mclntyre 27. Japp 12. the ? e^ on f d lnnin ?8. the wickets of the fifteen fell fast, several of the best players making but small scores, but the team did even better than was expected as they fuly were got together at the last moment.
