THE NEW LICENSING DISTRICTS.
Proclamation is made of the licensing distrie’s, of which there are 304 in the Colony, created under the Licensing Act qf last seasipa. It is further proclaimed that the Liceusifig Court of each district sbftll con§ia£ of four commissioners, three of whom have yet be named, tbe fourth being the dis* trict Resident Magistrate. We give the boundaries of the Dunedin and suburban districts : • Dunedin.— Divided into Wards—Leith, k-outh, High, and Bell—the boundaries of which are the same as appear on the City maps. J Half-way Bush.— Bounded towards the north by the boundary of hundreds and block 3, North Harbor and Blueskin Survey District; towards the east by .the Water of Leith ; towards the south by the Roslyn and Kaikorai Districts ; and towards the west by the western boundary of block 4, Dunedin . and blast Taieri District. North East Valley.— Bounded towards tbe north and east by Blueskin District; tow/ rds the south-east by the town of Port Chalmers and Otago Harbor j and towards the west by the City of Dunedin and the Water of Leith. Town of Port Chalmers.— Bounded by ' a line proceeding from Mussell Bay along the eastern boundary of section No. 62; Sawyer’s Bay Survey District, to Lower Harbor West Survey District; thence by the south-eastern boundary of the said Lower Harbor West Survey District to Otago Hat;bor j thence proceeding in a southerly 1 direc“°n, by Otago Harbor round the Port Chafers Peninsula and Mussel Bay to the starting point. " • Blueskin District.— Bounded towards the north by Hawks bury District, Blueskin / ?oy, nfid the sea;' tqwards the eapt south by Otago Harbor, the town of Pdrt the northern boundaries of sections 56 and 74, block 7, North Harbor and Bine- ; skin Survey District, and the northern watershed of Mount Cargill to the boundary of the hundred ; and towards the. west by the boundary of hundreds and Waikouaiti ' River (south branch). Roslyn. —Bounded towards the northwest by sections 10, block 3, and 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, and 10, block 4, Upper Kaikorai Survey District, and sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and .6, block 5, Lower Kaikorai Survey District; towards the south-west by a direct line from the southern angle of section C, block 5, Lower Kaikorai Survey District, to the Dunedin Town Belt, at the southern angle of section 87, block 6, Town District; and towards the north-east by section 5, block 1, and sections 3, 6, and 7, block 3, Upper Kaikorai Survey District. Kaikorai.—Bounded towards the north and north-west by the watershed of Abbot’s Creek and Kaikorai Stream and the Half-way Bush District; towards the south-east and south by the Roslyn, Mornihgton, and Suburban Districts ; and on the south and west by the: Main South Road. ■
