IMMIGRATION.
The first batch of the Mongol’s immigrants! numbering about 120 souls, were brought to town to-day by the Result, aud thence for* warded to the Immigration Barracks by train, 't he remaining convalescent passengers will probably be brought up to-morrow morning. With few exceptions, all the immigrants will remain in the Province, and will be open for engagement in a few days. There is a large number of female servants amongst them, but the applications for this class of domestics are already considerable. Nationalities : English, 129 ; Irish, 101; Scotch, 11; Channel Islands, 8 j Canadians (first sent to,the Colony), 6. The Wild Deer, which left Glasgow on December 10, brings 239 souls, equal to 198 adults, of which number there are 84 male and 78 female sdulis; 42 male and 30 female children, and 5 infants.
