THE NEW ERA!! OUR GUINEA TWEED TROUSERS. I introduced my Guinea ▼ ▼ Trousers I was very confident they would prove a great success, but the demand for them has far exceeded my most sanguine expectations. It is certainly very remarkable to get a pair of Bliss’s Tweed Trousers for 21s, considering the high price of wool at present. Indeed, had I not been fortunate enough to purchase a large parcel of Tweeds at much below the regular value I could not afford to supply such a first-class pair of Tweed Trousers at the price. It has always been my aim to make it mutually advantageous for gentlemen t© do business with me, and I have no hesitation in saying that I have never been in a position to give my customers better value than at the present moment After careful calculations I find thatit paysmebetter to supply a gentlemanly pair of Tweed Trousers for a= Guinea than to charge 32s 6d and 35s per pair, as some do, for Trousers not a whit better . Ihe profit on one pair is, no doubt, very trifling; but the demand being so great the aggregate profit is more than if I were to conduct my business in the old-fashioned style of charging a Long Price and giving Long Credit. Cash down when measured or on delivery is the only way that enables me to supply such a, good Trouser for One Guinea, and it is but right to state that this part of the system has been cheerfully acceded to by my patrons.
