Wellington, February 20. ihe Government has received information by telegraph from Home that L 500,000 of unguaranteed Four-aud*a-half per Cent Debentures, without sinking fund, have been sold at L 93. Also that L 200,000 of the debentures guaranteed by the Imperial Government have been sold at L 3 premium. "Jbe following ships sailed during January (the names vre in some cases so incorrect in the telegram that they cannot be guessed(:—AnAuckland, 300 souls; Navvie, for Bluff, 300 ; Asia, for Otago, 500 ; Penningtou and another, for Wellington, 660 ; Vatina and another, for Canterbury, 606 souls. The screw steamship Atrato was to sail on February 6 for Otago and Canterbury direct, with 700 souls. Ihree were to sail during February, 6,000 tons (query, of shipping in all). A large quantity of railway plant was to be despatched during February, including three locomotive and six carnages. m, tm. i , .
