Novice was scratched, anc( the race was thought to be a certain gift for German Louis, but when within ten yards of the winning post he bolted to the grand stand.
Flying Handicap, of 40 sovb. One mile. Color-Sergeant, 6st 101b 1 Patch, 7st ... 2 wild Boy, 7st ioib ;;; i ;;; 3 Malabar, Miss King, and Ada Colt were scratched. Patch regularly sold tbe bookmakers, Color-Sergeant winning easily.
