The shares taken up during the past year, number 696, making a a 3 • rea wsuedfrom the commencement of the Society to the present time of 4,214 ibe different properties over which the Society holds mortgages are 124 in number. The net amount of profits for the year, as shown by the annexed statement, is L 1.912 3s 4d, and the directors recommend a bonus of 10* per cent to credrt of members, leaving a balance of L 44 l»s 3d to be earned forward to next year.
