Mr, , , _ , London, January 7. Ihe Duke and Duches? of Edinburgh, with several members of the Russian Court, have arrived at Moscow. The German Parliament has been opened by an Imperial speech, which expresses confidence in the efforts of the Great Powers to maintain peace. Alderman Cotton, Messrs Hubbard and twelve Conservatives, and the Right Hon. G. J. Goschen have been returned for the City of London. Two Conservatives were returned for Westminster. For tho electorates of Chelsea, Marylebone, Southwark, and the Tower Hamlets, Messrs Aytoun, Fawcett, and Jacob Bright were defeated, and Mr Thomas Hughes retired. Mr Roebuck was re-elected for Sheffield. The Marquis of Halting ton has been re-elected for Radnor. Four hundred and thirty members have been returned up to the present. Tho Conservatives gain sixty-one seats, The Liberals bare been ousted from twenty-four. The Liberals have gained twentyseven seats, but the Conservatives have secured seventy-one seats from the Liberals. It is assorted that Mr Gladstone has resigned,
