The City of Dunedin commenced to take in cargo for London yesterday. The N.E. wind which prevailed this morning enabled the North German brig Carl, from Foo Chow, to sail up to her anchorage off Deborah Bay. Captain Otzen reports leaving Foo Chow on the 13th November, with strong N.E. winds; came through the China seas, and crossed the Equator on the 28th of November ; passed through Sunda' Straits on the 7th of December; had strong S. and S.S W. winds to January 10th; thence, until sighting the Traps on the 21th, had strong winds from the N.W. to S.W., with high confused sea, which died away along the coast; made the Heads at seven o’clock last night. She brings 8,544 packages of tea, which she will discharge at Dunedin.
