The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption this day, was L1,16813s 6d. Messrs Driver, Stewart, and Co.’s property sale at Invercargill on Thursday last was exceedingly well attended, and the bidding ran with great spirit during the whole time. The figures at which the hammer fell for the ent lots were as follows For the Wellesley Estate, 46A acres, west of the north road, sold m one lot, LI,120; section 21, block 72, Invercargill, corner of Dee and Leat streets, L 26 5; M, 81^e the former Bank of Otago building, l lay street, 50ft frontage by 165 ft deep, L 990 ; three acres and a cottage at Gladstone, L 46 0; the Railway Hotel, Winton, L 73 0; the Riverton brewery- and plant, L 37 5; Holly Lee farm, 537. acres, Ll 12s 6d per acre (the purchaser of this lot sold it again without leaving the room, at L2 per acre); part of section 6, block 1, Campbell Town, with improvements, L 700; section 16, block 4, Invercargill Hundred, 120 acres on the Waikivi stream, North Road, L 3 2s od.per acre. About 4,000 acres of Shand’s Winton. Bush Estate was sold in sections at prices ranging from L 3 for unimproved to L 9 os per acre for the three sections sold with the homestead.
