>' DjW a Jb ,hj} i r? a lb all hearts nre gay, There’s joy throughout the nation; Old Mother 4 Times’ regrets hericrimes,-j And signs her recantation.* ’‘ ‘ ' - For years she growl’d, and snarl’d, and howl’d, 't/.u.-.U'N At our young land’s Protector; She vented iiiean : nhusive spleen, Till no one cpuld respect her. “ His policy is rule,” quoth she ; '* ' 1 Twill bring the State to ruin:. Ami quickly too will come to'view ■:■ ' The mischief he is brewin’.” Oh, what a-change ; .(’tis father.fetrange) Has come across her lately—- * ‘A- statesiftan;kfsj of high degree ; We prize his talents greatly.” This withered'kag, with faded Vag, Laughed loudly at all freemen ; ■ UfatiFrtdameof<fsiiref fimieOE dj. 111.: .'!|JO Awoke her from her dreamin’.
