j The Wallabi returned from the wreck this morning, having been at Gatlin’s river all iday yesterday, to he brings back as salvage the following:—A lot of calico, furniture, ■guns, swords, an e'ectro-piated teapot and coffeepot, one trunk, pickles, j ima, &c , two harmoniums, one large mirror, one qr • cask of port, passengers’ luggage, thirty-nine cases ■brandy (marked P.Jvi.T. in diamond), sixt en cases ami two bales drapery (Ross and ‘Glendiniag), throe cases tobacco and two ■boxes candles (marked W. J S. in diamond), and various odds and ends, not enumerated ,A nd the purchasers of the wreck have sent down two powerful centrifugal pumps. Which formerly belonged to Messrs Connor and Mackay, and are capable of throwing ■I 5,000 gallons pr minute. They will send ;!by the Wallabi to-night a twelve-horse :power engine, to work in conjunction with .the ten-horae “ power engine now at the cawmills. With these and the whole of the {appliances, which will be in position and in jfull work in less than twenty-four hours from this, they hope to pump the vessel dry m {five or six hours, and hope to have her docked in Port Chalmers on (Saturday next. {While the Wallabi was at the wreck, the diver went down three times and broke out (Cargo, which floated with the greatest ease. {By the Ladybird, due this evening, Mr iWatson, the well-known diver, is a pas .{senger, aud he proceeds by the Wallabi to ;the wreck to make all ready for floating the {ship. The accounts from the wreck agree {that the vessel remains in good condition, that there is every chance of saving the ship and most of the cargo. The saved drapery and merchandize will bo sold by auction {shortly.
