DRAPERY. OBSERVED FACTS. UNQUESTIONED AND UNCONTRADICTED. THAT FROM VARIOUS CAUSES THE DRAPERY ESTABLISHMENT OF TRKPATRICK, LENDINING, K 1 AND CO. HAS BECOME THE FAVORITE ONE. That, receiving a continuous supply of Manufactures from the Old Country, their place of business has been aptly described as an INEXHAUSTIBLE STOREHOUSE. That by the adoption of their modern system of trading, the people of New Zealand can CLOTHE BETTER AND FURNISH BETTEK Fi*R LESS MONEY THAN FORMERLY. That, the new Tariff has not yet increased the selling price of any kind of goods they deal in; but, on the contrary, they sell many articles, such as Men’s and Boys’ Hats, Caps, Ties, Collars. Alloa Socks, Rugs, Bags, Portmanteaus, Millinery, Crinolines, Dress Improvers, Pads, Costumes, Ball and Evening Dresses, Friilings, Ruchings, and in numerable other articles infinitely lower than in the past. That they do not import that comparatively useless class of goods generally sbi| ped to the Colonies; and it is agreed that the freshness and excellence of their wares possess a characteristic value of their own. That, being content with small profits, and to make sure of a large and increasing business, they offer to all Retail Purchasers every description of First-class Goods in any length or quantity at Wholesale Importers’ That their Black Silks are celebrated near and far for wear. That they hold the largest and best assorted stock in the Colony of Colored Silks, Satins, Irish Poplins, Dress Materials, Skirts, Umbrellas, Sunshades, Flowers, Ribbons, Laces, Trimmings, Hosiery, Gloves, Haberdashery, and Fancy Articles. That for Mantles, Jackets, Polonaises, and Ca| they stand unrivalled. T,hat their Dressmaking, Mantlemaking, and Hillinery Departments are distinguish, d above all others for Novelty, Style, Taste, and Fa shion, _ That their Underclothing and Stays are unapproachable in point of excellence and value. That their superior Household Furnishings— BU vnkets, Flannels, Carpets—direct from the makers, are found by comparison to be the most moderate in price. That th ose who covet the real old make of Everlasting Irish Poplins can purchase them at K., G., and Co’s in black and all the leading colors —Ample cheice. That'their Ready-made Men’s and Boys’ Clothing, from Melbourne, Loudon, Bristol, and notably from their own Factory, are acknowledged to be by far the best and cheapest in Dunedin. That they a .re always fortunate in securing Real Bargains— often at less than half price. i hat it is almost unnecessary to remark that nothing can be lost, but mm hj gained, bv a visit to their Establishment, as all the objects of desire in Dress and Household Furnishing can be obtained fresher, purer, better, cheaper, than can be had at Secondhand Warehouses. That their Home Buyer, from the practical knowledge he possesses of the trade and requirements of the New Zealand market, is invaluable and unerring in supplying them with the best Drapery at the least possible cost, thus placing the firm in a prominent position to command the notice and gain the patronage of all consumers. That, in these dear times, owing to those who unfortunately had to land stock during the last two months, the above facts are seen to the best advantage. PRESENT SPECIAL LINES FOR THE HOLIDAYS. Ist.
