The barque Bobycito, for Newcastle, was towed to sea by the Geelong yesterday. The steamers Paterson, Wellington, and liadybird, for Northern Ports, sailed lost n *lTie barque Jewess was removed to alongside the hulk California to-day, to discharge the remainder of he i coals. The ship Caller Ou opened hatches this morning, and commenced to discharge into the railway trucks. Her cargo seems to be in good order. ... The coasters Flying Squirrel, for Oamaru. Cambria, for Timaru, hliza M Phec and Lloyd’s Herald, for Gatlin’s River, sailed tins morning. . . . . . The ketch Defiance arrived last night from Oamaru. Besides other cargo, she brings 124 cases of meat, for transhipment to the Christian M'Ausland. The ship Peter Denny was unmoored and removed to the lower anchorage yesterday afternoon and towed to sea early this morning by the Geelong. The tug left her at 7 a.m., with a light easterly wind. _ _ . The Harbor Company s s.s. Beautiful Star arrived at 7.30 this morning and steamed alongside the ship Otago to discharge wool, after which she proceeded to Dunedin. She left Port Chalmers at 7 p.ni. on the 18th ; arrived at Timaru at 7 30 a.m. on the 19th ; arrived at Akaroa at 8.15 a.m. on the 20th ; on the trip round to Lyttelton encountered a gale, and was compelled to run back to Akaroa for shelter ; started again for Lyttelton at 9.80 a.in. on the 21st, and arrived at Lyttelton at 4.30 p ra. same day ; left Lyttelton on her return trip at 7 p.m. on the 22nd ; airived at Akaroa at 12.30 p.m same day; arrived at Timaru at 2 p.m. on the 23rd ; 1-ft for Port Chalmers at 7.15 p.m. same night and arrived as above, having experienced fine weather during the passage. She leaves again for her usual trip to-morrow.
