It is said that the hairdressers of London, some 3,000 strong, are seriously thinking of amalgamating into one general institution, not for any intimidatory purpose, but simply to improve the position of their business. They wish to become more thoroughly acquainted with chemistry in connection with the human hair, and with the manufacture of perfumes ; and they seriously think that, if it could be readily provided, false hair would be generally worn *by the community. They desire, too, to make themselves able to converse affably with their customers.
